Objective

Competence in the construction process
Students are able to read HVAC blueprints. Students recognize most typical building installations and know their selection criteria. Students perceive the role of building engineering in the construction process and in the building's maintenance.

Content

- HVAC drawing symbols
- most typical HVAC, electrical and fire safety systems
- space requirements and installation routes for building services systems
- taking efficiency and energy efficiency into account when selecting equipment
- taking HVAC into account on a site
- municipal engineering services
- construction site visit if possible

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Students know the basics of HVAC. They are familiar with drawing symbols and understand the significance of building HVAC in construction projects.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students are able to read HVAC blueprints related to new construction and renovation. They are able to take the requirements of building engineering into account in a construction project..

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the abilities above, students master well and are able to apply what they have learned. They can also analyze the connections between different things. They can make diversified analyses and draw conclusions based on what they have learned.
