Objective

Competence in the construction process
Students understand the role of geotechnics and foundation engineering as part of a construction project, and take into consideration their effect on the total cost of the project.

Competence in structural engineering
Students know the most important regulations and instructions on foundation construction. They have basic knowledge of foundations built on soil and rock, of piling and of the relevant work methods. Students know how to seek information independently to develop their quality management competence.

Content

- Ground surveys
- Regulations and instructions
- Rock and soil foundations
- Piling
- Drying and frost protection
