Objective

Students will learn to make home visits to older people to detect risks to the clients' independent coping at home and in the living environment. Students will learn to counsel older clients on lifestyle to promote their health, wellbeing and ability to function. Students will assess clients' need for services, assistive aids and redecoration at home and they will inform clients of municipal services and assistance. When necessary, students will refer clients to other providers of support and services. Students will produce knowledge of the clients' living conditions, service needs and expectations, to be used in planning and anticipating action and services in the municipality.
