Objective

Students will learn about various types of robots and examine robots and how to use them in factory automation and other areas where robots are needed. The will know the structure, features and co-ordinations of robots as well as the periphery devices used in robots. Students will be competent in handling and programming industrial robots on- and offline. The course provides fundamental knowledge of robotics and an ability to design and select equipment for the automatic handling of products.

Types of robots, Industrial robots: mechanical structure, control systems, features, co-ordinations ja periphery devices, Handling an ABB industrial robot and on- and offline programming, Handling a Motoma robot and online programming, Working with robots and practising programming in the labrotary
