Objective
Students will:
- understand the function of the nervous system and muscle control and the basics of movement mechanics
- understand the role of the nervous system in human functioning

- Classification and regulation of movements
- Neuromuscular system and its functions

Student workload
The course is 2 cr equivalent to 54h, which consists of tutorial work, lectures and independently conducted online studies. (1 cr = 27h)

- can partly recognize the various parts of the nervous system and they are to some extent able to describe the main functions of these parts
- are to a limited extent familiar with the function of the neuromuscular system and with the muscle contraction mechanism

- can list the various parts of the nervous system and are able to describe functions of these parts in detail
- are familiar with the function of the neuromuscular system and with the muscle contraction mechanism, and know how to apply the material learnt to professional practice
