Objective

The students will;
- select one physiotherapy speciality to deepen and/or extend their practical skills and theoretical knowledge
- understand the meaning of management, development and quality management for the organizational activities.

Content

- Theoretical foundations and practices in the physiotherapy speciality selected by the student
- Management and quality management in a service organization (ITE self-assessment instrument, EFQM)
- Personnel management (recruitment, appraisal interviews, orientation for new employees, employee skills
- Effectiveness in a service organization (BSC)

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Students have basic knowledge of the physiotherapy speciality selected. They can cope with professional work when supervised and supported and they attend to client safety. They work in a mechanical, routine manner but express interest in their professional field. Students justify their choices with limited theoretical knowledge. They are superficially aware of the meaning of management, development and quality management in work communities. Their actions demonstrate that they are willing to learn/try.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students have good knowledge of the physiotherapy speciality selected. They partly work independently, attending to client safety and integrating previously learnt contents into practice as required by various situations. They find solutions for unexpected physiotherapy situations and assess and discover development options in their work. To some extent, students justify their choices theoretically, with evidence-based knowledge. They know the meaning of management, development and quality management in work communities.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students have extensive, in-depth knowledge of the physiotherapy speciality selected. They work independently, attending to client safety and creatily integrating previously learnt contents into practice. They find solutions for unexpected physiotherapy situations and demonstrate initiative in self-evaluation and -development. Students justify their choices theoretically, with evidence-based knowledge. They demonstrate by their action that they understand the meaning of management, development and quality management in work communities.
