Objective
The student has a good understanding of history, concepts and benefits of electronic materials, archives and virtual libraries. The student knows benefits and challenges of purchasing and using e-materials. (S)he knows the opportunities and the libraries role to use them.

- The concepts of the field: digital, electronic, virtual etc.
- The development of e-resources
- The acquisition of e-materials in libraries
- The history and the presents of Electronic Materials and Virtual Libraries. Types and mediums of them.
- National Digital Libraries development projects.

The student has actively participated in contactlessons and (s)he has returned creditable assignments in which (s)he has used verified range of international sources.
The student is able to analyse and evaluate the questions of electronic materials and virtual libraries. (S)he is able to identify the needs to improve competences related to subject in libraries.
