Objective

The student is able to define the basic concepts of taxation. S/he is able to describe the taxation proceedings of business taxation. The student is able to explain the income types of and business taxation and the deductions directed to them. S/he is also able to apply this knowledge in practice. The student is able to search the legislation connected to business taxation and apply it in practice.
The student is able to prepare tax calculations and s/he understands the differences between the taxation of different business forms. The student is familiar with basic concepts of value-added-tax and the law and can apply them in various financial areas. Students are able to identify and describe the main factors of the value-added taxation. They understand the importance of the correct value added tax and the application of practical knowledge of various business transactions. Students are familiar with value-added tax and accounting as well as its connection to how the VAT is taken into account in the accounts. Students know the value added tax related to regulatory supervision and its importance. Students are able to apply for value added tax-related information from the relevant sources. Students are able to identify and solve the value-added tax related problems.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Satisfactory (2-1): Students know basic concepts of VAT. The student is able to explain the essential income types of business taxation and the deductions directed to them. The student is able to search essential legislation connected to business taxation. The student is able to prepare tax calculations and s/he is able to explain the essential differences between taxation of different business forms.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good (4-3): Students know the essential basic concepts and legislation concerning VAT. The student is able to explain the essential income types of business taxation and the deductions directed to them. S/he is also able to apply this knowledge in practice. The student is able to search essential legislation connected to business taxation and apply it in practice. The student is able to prepare tax calculations and s/he is able to explain the differences between taxation of different business forms.

Exellent (5): Students know the basic concepts and legislation concerning value added taxation and be able to apply them to business operations. The student is able to prepare tax calculations and s/he is able to compare the taxation of different business forms
