Objective

The student knows the tasks and operating principles of the most central institutions of Finnish society. They understand how the obligations and rights set by the citizen's constitutional rights affect the work. The student is familiar with the history of Fnnish society and social policy that senior citizens have personally experienced. The student is able to discuss the historical events. They can counsel clients in key questions connected to social legislation or social security.

The student demonstrates a good understanding of the course topics. The student's conception of the operation and development of Finnish society can be considered wide-ranging and justified. The student is able to counsel clients on issues connected to social legislation and social security.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

5:
The student can examine and reflect on social questions critically. They demonstrate the ability to connect individual phenomena to their social background. They are able to evaluate the state of the Finnish constitution and welfare state critically. The student is able to counsel clients on issues related to social legislation and social security.
