Objective

Upon completion of the course, students will recognize the meaning of simulation in production process design. Student know the basics of the robot simulation and is able to simulate basic industrial robotic cells. Understand how it is applied in industrial robotics design. Furthermore, students will be able to apply simulation on production based human ergonomics design.

Content

- The basics of simulation in production process workflow desing (applications, benefits/limitations, phases of a robotic simulation process, ergonomics simulation)
- Use of process simulation software
- Development of simulations of different production processes
- Ergonomics design based on 3D human models (stress analysis, reach analysis, field of view analysis)
