Objective

The law pertaining to studies at the university of applied sciences level (352/2003)states that students are required to sit a Maturity Test to receive their univerity of applied sciences degree. Students write about a topic related to the thesis, which indicates their knowledge of the topic and of Finnish or Swedish language. If a student has received their education in a language other than Finnish or Swedish, the head of the degree program may allow the student to take the Maturity Test in another language.

Content

Students must demonstrate that they master the content of their thesis and produce a clear and consistent written presentation.

Teaching methods

The maturity sample is written in EXAM exam mode. Make an appointment for your thesis supervisor's EXAM exam when you receive permission to do so. In exceptional cases, the maturity test is performed in other controlled spaces (Skype), for example with the help of Moodle. The student can confirm the maturity test practice from the supervisor of his / her thesis.

The electronic EXAM exam is taken either in the exam room SeAMK Frami A, 5th floor, room A530.10 or SeAMK Kampustalo, 1Y. krs., C0066. There are three (3) computers in the Fram exam room and six (6) computers in the Campusalo exam room. Both exam rooms have video surveillance that records audio and video. Up-to-date EXAM instructions have been added to the Jelppar and intranet pages. It is a good idea to familiarize yourself with them before taking the exam.
