Objective
COMPETENCE IN HEALTH PROMOTION
Students are able to use  health-related evidence-based knowledge of adults in the different health promotion situations
 They will acquire central knowledge and skills required in public health nursing and counselling of adult clients and study the essential contents of occupational health and safety in general and from the perspective of their future profession.
                    
Content
The course discusses the health of the adult population in light of Finnish and international studies, the factors that influence the health and well-being of adults, experts and multi-professional collaboration in public health nursing of the adult population, the environment and the health of the adult population, workplace assessment, first-aid, safety equipment, health examinations and the teaching and counselling of adult clients.
