Objective

CLINICAL COMPETENCE

Students are able to identify the need for prompt first aid and know how to act in first aid situations and follow-up procedures, while maintaining calm behaviour. Students are able to administer first aid, including emergency first aid, in various circumstances and are motivated to maintain their first-aid skills and knowledge. They know the plans compiled in collaboration with civil protection and rescue services to ensure health services in exceptional emergency situations.

Content

The course discusses what to do in emergency situations and other exceptional situations, as well as first aid and CPR.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Grade 5
Students are able to identify the need for prompt first aid and know how to administer emergency first aid. Students follow first aid principles and comprehensively assess and take into consideration the situation.

Grade 3-4
Students are able to identify the need for prompt first aid and know how to administer emergency first aid. Students follow first aid principles and to some extent assess and take into consideration the situation.

Grades 1-2
Students are able to identify the need for prompt first aid and know how to administer emergency first aid. Students follow first aid principles so that the patient's condition does not deteriorate.

Fail= 0
Students are not able to identify needs for prompt first aid and do not know how to administer emergency first aid. Students do not know how to follow first aid principles.

No previous studies are required.
