Objective

ETHICAL COMPETENCE, DECISION-MAKING COMPETENCE

Students will learn to know the philosophical foundation and ethical values in nursing. They will understand the meaning of evidence-based knowledge in nursing practice and in ethical decision-making.

INNOVATION COMPETENCE

Students will know the role of scientific thinking in practice and development of nursing. Students will learn to describe nursing science as the primary science in nursing and other sciences as supporting sciences.

COMPETENCE IN CUSTOMERSHIP IN HEALTH CARE

Students are aware of the holistic conception of the human being.

- analyse main concepts in nursing science
- analyse research knowledge and understand the role of evidence-based knowledge in nursing and in ethical decision-making

- are to some extent familiar with the philosophical foundation of nursing and aware of the values in nursing
- know most parts of the main concepts in nursing science
- analyse research knowledge and understand the role of evidence-based knowledge in nursing and in ethical decision-making

- are to some extent familiar with the philosophical foundation of nursing and aware of the values in nursing
