Content scheduling

Opintojakso toteutuu opiskelijan valinnan mukaan kahdessa eri aikataulussa:
1. toteutusvaihtoehto 2.4.-31.5.2020. Toteutus orientoidaan verkossa Moodlen BigBlueButton -toimintoa käyttäen 2.4.2020 klo 10-11.30. Opiskelija saa opettajalta Moodle -tunnukset sähköpostitse 1.4.2020. 2.8.2020.
2. toteutusvaihtoehto 26.5.-2.8.2020. .Opintojakso orientoidaan verkossa Moodlen BigBlueButton -toimintoa käyttäen 26.5.2020 klo 9-11. Opiskelija saa opintojakson opettajalta sähköpostitse Moodlen tunnukset ja BigBlueButton -ohjeet 22.5.2020.

Orientointiluennot tallennetaan ja ne ovat katsottavissa Moodlessa koko opintojakson toteutuksen ajan. Reaaliaikaiseen orientointiin osallistuminen ei siis ole välttämätöntä. Opintojakso opiskellaan verkossa. Lisäksi opiskelija tekee yhden tutustumiskäynnin perheohjausta toteuttavaan organisaatioon. Mikäli paikan päällä tutustuminen ei ole mahdollista, tutustumiskäynti toteutetaan virtuaalisesti esim.Skypeä käyttäen.

Objective

Students learn to apply the psychosocial approach and methods of professional interaction when counselling families with children. Students learn to recognize needs to apply family counselling methods and are able to evaluate their suitability for various client situations. Students are able to describe settings in which it is possible to carry out family counselling. They learn to analyze methods and international models used in family counselling. The student understands the principles of a systemic approach and contributes to the implementation of a systemic and multidisciplinary approach in the context of family counselingStudents know how to plan a goal-oriented family counselling process. Students are prepared to apply different methods in family counselling and to develop and evaluate their action.

Teaching methods

Opintojakso opiskellaan itsenäisesti verkossa. Opiskelija tekee yksin tai pienryhmässä tutustumiskäynnin perheohjausta toteuttavaan organisaatioon. Tutustumiskäynti ohjeistetaan opintojakson orientoinnin yhteydessä. Mikäli paikan päällä tutustuminen ei ole mahdollista, tutustumiskäynti toteutetaan virtuaalisesti esim.Skypeä käyttäen.

Employer connections

Opintojakso ei sisällä harjoittelua, mutta opiskelija tekee touko-kesäkuussa joko yksin tai pienryhmässä tutustumiskäynnin perheohjausta tarjoavaan organisaatioon. Tutustumiskäynnin toteutus ohjeistetaan orientoinnin yhteydessä. Mikäli paikan päällä tutustuminen ei ole mahdollista, tutustumiskäynti toteutetaan virtuaalisesti esim.Skypeä käyttäen.

Exam schedules

Opintojaksolla laaditaan oppimispäiväkirja, joka palautetaan kevään toteutuksessa (1. toteutus) 31.5.2020 mennessä ja kesän toteutuksessa (2. toteutus) 2.8.2020 mennessä.

Opintojaksolla ei ole kesän aikana valinnaista suoritustapaa.

Student workload

Opintojakso toteutuu opiskelijan valinnan mukaan joko 1. toteutuksessa (aikaväli 2.4.-31.5.2020) tai 2. toteutuksessa (aikaväli 26.5.-2.8.2020). Opintojaksolla laaditaan oppimispäiväkirja, joka palautetaan 1. toteutuksessa 31.5.2020 mennessä ja 2. toteutuksessa 2.8.2020 mennessä.

Students
- are able to name settings in which family counselling can be implemented
- recognize the basic principles of psychosocial work and the meaning of professional interaction in family counselling
- are able to name work methods and international models used in family counselling
- are able to recognize different stages in a goal-oriented family counselling process and role of family councellor
- are able to recognize the features of a systemic approach and a multidisciplinary approach
- are able to recognize different stages in a goal-oriented family counselling process and role of family counselor

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students
- can describe settings in which family counselling can be implemented
- know how to act in client situations in family counselling, applying professional interaction
- are able to assess needs to apply the family counselling approach when working with families with children
-know how to apply work methods and international models used in family counselling
are able to plan a goal-oriented family counselling process
- are able to take multidisciplinary work into account and are able to describe the features of a systemic approach in family counselor
- are capable to reflect on their actions and their professional role from the perspective of professional ethics

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students
- are able to critically assess needs for family counselling and analyze its content when working with families with children
-evaluate their own competence to apply psychosocial work and professional interaction in family counselling
- know how to plan and develop a goal-oriented family counselling process, also taking into account the multidisciplinary and systemic approach
- are capable to analyze work methods and international models used in family counselling and to evaluate their action and their professional role from the perspective of professional ethics
