Objective

Competence in structural engineering
Students are familiar with house construction materials, their properties, manufacturing processes, types and uses of products, and the required installations and work methods. Students are aware of the health and environmental impact of materials.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student knows the properties and production methods of common construction materials, as well as their applicability to different targets of use. The student masters the health and environmental effects of construction materials.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student knows the correct warehousing and installation conditions of common construction materials. The student is able to take the effect of humidity on materials into account. The student is able to recognize the key properties of construction materials, which influence their use in construction.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the abilities above, the knows well what they have learned and is able to apply it. They are also able to analyze connections between the things they have learned.
