Objective

Upon completion of the course, students will know various types of construction materials, their properties, handling, standards and selection.

Content

- Using and testing various materials
- Internal structure of metals
- Constitutional diagram
- Thermal treatment
- Steel and cast iron
- Aluminium alloys
- Other alloys
- Consumption of natural resources and recycling of materials

Teaching methods

The teaching material is in Moodle. Lectures, independent work and laboratory work

Lectures 32 h, labs 6 h, independent studying

In the end of the study module is an examination. The participation in the laboratory work is compulsory. Student must participate in the hour trainings
