Objective
Students will be familiar with the characteristics of uncompelled, internal and external entrepreneurship and understand how they relate to their own activities. Students will possess an understanding concerning the domain of entrepreneurship in the field of health care and social work and recognize the essential principles such as ethical requirements, lawfulness and the importance of licenses. Students will know how to work in an entrepreneurial manner in multiprofessional groups in social work and welfare.
Content
- Uncompelled internal and external entrepreneurship
- Student's personal entrepreneurial spirit, entrepreneurship
- Legislation regulating entrepreneurship
- The foundation of an enterprise, product development, bidding process and marketing social and health services
- Organizing an event focusing on welfare/entrepreneurship
Materials
Lecturer's material. In addition the student chooses the literature that she/he uses in learning assignments regarding the themes of the study course.
Teaching methods
Lectures and information pieces, multiprofessional group assignments, online learning and visiting lecturers. The study course will be implemented in multiprofessional groups (social work and health care) during the first study year. Online learning 1 credit.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Pass
Students complete the online assignments and become aware of characteristics of internal/ uncompelled entrepreneurship in their own activities. They examine external entrepreneurship as an employment option and analyse special features of entrepreneurship in the health and social field. Students contribute to the activity of a multi-professional team as equal members.
Fail
Students fail to assume responsibility for the assignments or do not complete them. They express little interest in the topic and are absent without explanation. In the multi-professional team they remain observers and do not contribute as equal members.
