Objective

After completing the study course, students will be able to assess needs for social work with adults from the perspectives of society and the individual. They will see social work with adults as planned and goal-oriented long-term multiprofessional work. They will learn to use activating, motivating and participatory methods to support clients' rehabilitation and independent everyday coping.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Grade 1-2:
Students are able to describe needs for social work with adults from the perspectives of society and the individual. Students are able to use essential professional concepts and demonstrate that they have studied the knowledge base. They recognize various working methods and are able to apply them to case studies.
Grade 3-4:
Students are able to describe needs for social work with adults from the perspectives of society and the individual and to analyse connections between relevant factors. They identify developmental needs and find solutions. They are able to evaluate working methods in client-centred, multiprofessional work.
Grade 5:
Students critically and extensively evaluate connections between factors and phenomena. They are capable of developing new forms of action by comparing and integrating evidence-based knowledge and personal experience. They are able to analyse and develop working methods in social work with adults.
