Objective

Students are able to carry out planning, implementing and evaluation of a care and nursing process, which is based on elderly persons needs and which supports elderly persons functional capacities ia around- the clock care. They are able to carry out the most essential methods of care and nursing and they can support elderly people in everyday activities by streghtening his/her functional capacities and streghts.

- supporting and assisting clients in activities of daily living
- the most important nursing interventions
- counselling aged clients and their families
- documentation in nursing and care

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Students can design and can carry out around-the-clock care and care of elderly person in basic level.
Students know the methods of care and nursing at the level of daily functions.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students are able to plan, perform and evaluate the around-the-clock care of an elderly person in mutual understanging with him/her. Students know the basic methods of care and nursing of an elderly person and to support him/her in the daily functions.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students can plan, perform and evaluate the around-the-clock care and the care of elderly person to support his ability to function in the mutual understanding with him/her.
Students know the methods of care and nursing of elderly person based on his/her individual needs to support the daily functions, strengthening his ability to function.

Level 3:

Level 1:
The student can in basic level design and can carry out around-the-clock care and care of elderly person.
The student knows the methods of care and nursing at the level of daily functions
