Content scheduling

Anatomia ja fysiologia 3 op
Opintojaksolla kontaktitunteja (yht. 18 h) on noin 2h/vko, jotta verkko-opinnoille (materiaalit ja tehtävät) jää aikaa kontaktituntien välissä. Kontaktituntia edeltää samaan teemaa liittyvät materiaalit ja tehtävät moodlessa. Opintojakson päätteeksi moodle-tentti.
Tautioppi ja mikrobiologia 1 op
lähiopetusta 4x4h, koe 2h. Lähiopetus 1-2 krt/vk.

Objective

Anatomy and Physiology 3 cr

Learning Outcomes:
The student is able to
- define and use terms and concepts related to anatomy and physiology
- design the structures of the body in Finnish and Latin
- explains the structure and function of organs and organ systems and their role in the functioning of the human body
- explain the mechanisms of regulating the body's functions

Miicrobiology and pathology
The student
- understands the structure, function, regulation and underlying factors of the human body.
- is able to form an understanding of the diagnosis, birth, effects, prevention and treatment of the most common illnesses, and the grading of medical treatment.
- is able to describe the mechanisms of infectious diseases, the body's defense system and the prevention of infectious diseases by getting acquainted with microbes, normal human flora, ways of infecting infectious diseases and microbes that cause infectious diseases.

Content

Cell and tissues: basic structure and function of cells, tissue types and their properties
Nervous system: main features of nervous tissue, parts of the nervous system and their structure, nervous regulation
Endocrine system: structure and function, key hormones and their function, hormonal regulation, connection to neural regulation
The immune system: the basics of the immune system's functions, structure and function
Musculoskeletal system: main features of bone and muscle tissue, large bones of the body, different types of joints and their function, superficial muscles of the body, functions of the musculoskeletal system
Cardiovascular system and blood: circulatory structures and function, cardiovascular functions, blood pressure, basics of circulatory function control, blood cells and blood composition, blood clotting process, fetal and neonatal circulation, lymphatic system connection to bloodstream, blood circulation to heat control
Respiratory system: structure and function of the respiratory system, connection to the circulatory system, oxygen and carbon dioxide transport in the respiratory system, basics of breathing control and respiratory flow
Digestive system and energy metabolism: structures and function of the digestive system, nutrients and their digestion, energy metabolism and its regulation
Urinary excretion and fluid balance: structure and function of the kidneys and urinary tract, regulation of fluid balance, involvement of the kidneys and lungs in regulating the acid-base balance of the body
The senses: the basic structure and function of the sensory organs, the transmission and interpretation of the senses
Reproduction: structure and function of female and male genitals, production of ova and sperm, menstrual cycle, basics of conception, progression of pregnancy and childbirth

Diagnosis, effects, prevention and treatment of the most common diseases; Stages of medical care; Basic information about microbes; Human normal flora; Infectious methods and factors affecting the onset of infectious disease; Infectious diseases caused by the most common human microbes; System of defense; Prevention of infectious diseases

Teaching methods

Anatomia ja fysiologia 3 op
Verkko-opinnot ja -tehtävät sekä kontaktitunnit (18 h). Opintojaksolla sovelletaan Flipped learning –opetusmenetelmää, jossa opiskellaan verkossa kontaktituntien teemaan liittyviä asioita etukäteen ja kontaktitunneilla varmistetaan ja syvennetään opitun ymmärtämistä.
Tautioppi ja mikrobiologia 1op
Lähiopetus, tunneilla tehtävät tehtävät ja itsenäinen tehtävä.

Exam schedules

Anatomia ja fysiologia 3 op
Aikarajoitettu moodle-tentti itsenäisesti toteutettuna opintojakson kontaktituntien loputtua. Tarvittaessa myös tentin uusinta moodle-tenttinä.
Tautioppi ja mikrobiologia 1 op
Koe 2h, uusinta Exam-tenttinä.

Student workload

Anatomia ja fysiologia 3 op
Opintojakson laajuus 3 op vastaa noin 80 h opiskelua, josta kontaktitunteja 32 h.
Tautioppi ja mikrobiologia 1 op
Opintojakson laajuus on opiskelijan työnä 27h, joista lähiopetusta 12h, koe 2h ja loput 13h ovat itsenäistä opiskelua.

- knows the level of medical care
- knows the mechanisms of infectious disease, the body's defense system and the prevention of infectious diseases by getting acquainted with microbes, normal human microbial infections, infectious diseases and infectious microbes

- is able to explain the importance of organ systems in the functioning of the human body.

- describes the stages of medical treatment
- is able to describe the mechanisms of infectious disease, the body's defense system and the prevention of infectious diseases by getting acquainted with microbes, normal human microbial infections, infectious diseases and infectious microbes
