Objective
Students have sufficient knowledge of the society and culture of the country, especially on the local level, to be able to cope in everyday life. They will also learn where to seek additional information. Students understand the structure of social work education in Finland and compare it with their own education. Students understand the content, pedagogical ideas and structure of the studies undertaken in Seinäjoki UAS. Students will learn to know the professional fields in which Bachelors of Social Services work in Finland. Students will understand the role and position of Bachelors of Social Services in the professional field. They will also have extensive knowledge of systems that provide welfare and social security in various sectors in Finland

The learning environment and support services at Seinäjoki UAS. The structure of social work education in Finland compared to the respective education in other countries. Learning to know professional fields in the work of Bachelors of Social Services. The contents of ?Empowerment in Social work"

Assessment criteria, approved/failed
Active participation in lessons and discussion and field trips. Pass (3)/fail: The grade pass means that the student's performance must equal to grade 3 (good), which is equivalent to the grade C in the ECTS grading system.
Students understand the role and position of Bachelors of Social Services in the social field in Finland.
