Objective

Students are competent in the basic of the Spanish language. They know progressively more vocabulary and are able to use fluently the key language of the course.
The students will know how to:
Manage to talk about areas related to business and tourism.
Use her or his communication skills required in student exchange situations, for example travel, health care, etc.
Are able to manage in a restaurant and shopping situation

Content

Travel business and student exchange situations.
Construction of sentences related to the central topics
Among others areas the grammar is focussed on: Use of past tense of verbs, use of adverbs, imperative

Qualifications

No previous studies are required.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Speaking
Level 1- Students can cope with some everyday situations. They have some difficult with pronunciation.
Level 3- Students can manage independently in everyday talking situations. Pronunciation faults do not disturb understanding. The pronunciation is mainly understandable.
Level 5- The student expresses her/ himself actively, independently and intelligibly in everyday conversation situations. The pronunciation is in close to Spanish language pronunciation.
Listening
Level 1- Student understands little or slightly a slow and clear spoken language.
Level 3 - The student understands the main parts of slow and clearly spoken language.
Level 5- The student understand at normal tempo speech.
Text understanding
Level 1- The student understand the themes of the text and simple expressions.
Level 3- The student understands the main contents of text.
Level 5- The student understands all content of text.
Writing
Level 1- The student can write a short and simple text but mistakes disturb understanding.
Level 3- The student can write comprehensible text , but does some mistakes.
Level 5- The student can write comprehensible text with some small mistakes. Can use variedly vocabulary and constructions.
Knowledge of Spanish speaking countries and their culture
Level 1- The student can tell some facts from the target country and its culture.
Level 3- The student can tell main themes studied during the course from the Spanish speaking countries and their culture.
Level 5- Student has deep knowledge and has of the themes studied during the course from the Spanish speaking countries and their culture.
