Strength of Materials (4cr)
Course unit code: KC32BR10002
General information
- Credits
- 4 cr
Objective
Occupational and environmental safety in construction
Students know how to assess the behavior of temporary site structures with special attention given to the strength of the materials and to employee safety.
Competence in structural engineering
Students know how to determine stresses of simple bar structures and to apply tables to define the maximum bending of beams in simple situations. Students are familiar with typical stability phenomena, e.g. various types of buckling.
