Previous Swedish language study at secondary level is required.

- does not cope with general and sector-specific written communication situations in an appropriate manner.
- repeatedly produces texts that contain features that hinder comprehension.
- writes disconnected sentences and ideas.
- has a very limited vocabulary in his/her field and in general language, which is not sufficient to cope with the situation.
- repeatedly uses inappropriate words and phrases.
- uses basic constructions incompletely.
- has difficulties with word infliction as well as word class divisions.
