- will be able to convoy a message. The text may contain mistakes and the communication can be slow and fragmented.
- uses grammar structures mainly correct and is able to attend interaction when familiar with the situation.
- can attend interaction but need support from communication partners.

Student
- can cope well in versatile communication situations.
- can write and speak rather fluently.
- can use vocabulary which is appropriate to the situation. Mistakes don't lead to misunderstandings. They can, however, disturb the communication.
- is able to attend interaction actively.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Student
- can cope very well in versatile communication situations.
- knows hot to communicate in an appropriate way. The speech and texts are fluent.
- is able to use garmmar structures nearly without mistakes.
- has a wide vocabulary.
- attends actively in communication.
