Objective

The student familiarizes the position of agricultural and rural enterprises in national and international economy and learns to assess critically the position of single enterprise in the market and to assess the influence of changes in national and international economy from the point of wiev of single agricultural or rural enterprise. Lectures and guided practice 40%, independent work 60%

Content

The studies consist of following items:
1. Typical rural entrepreneurship as a part of economic system.
2. The principles of working fife
3. Seeking and critical analyse of information concerning environment of enterprise
4. Analyzing the opportunities and threats of economic environment

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student passes the written tests and has completed and reported the exercices.
1-2 The student is able to illustrate the logic of national economy and working life in general level and knows the principles of rural policy.
3-4 The student is able to illustrate the logic of national economy and working life in general level, knows the principles of rural policy and is able to handle this information in practical cases.
5 The student is able to illustrate the logic of national economy and working life in general level, knows the principles of rural policy, is able to handle this information in practical cases and is able to evaluate critically the influence of studied content in the rural context.
