Objective
Students understand the structure, function and regulation of the human organism and the underlying factors. Students can apply the principles of preventing infections and explain how this is important in clinical nursing. They are able to describe how infections occur, how the body immune system works and how infectious diseases can be prevented. Students have knowledge of microbes, normal body flora, routes of infection and microbes that cause infections. Students are able to describe the integrated health care. They have an overview of the diagnostics, onset, effects, prevention and treatment of common diseases.

Human anatomy and physiology 1. Basics of microbiology and pathology. Prevention of infections.
