Objective

Students

- know the basics of self-leadership and apply self-leadership skills to work in various organizations
- are able to evaluate the meaning of the organisational culture, values and ethics as part of the management and activities in an organization
- can explain and apply various quality assurance models and systems, and evaluate their suitability for welfare organizations

- are able to name principles of good interaction and dialogue, and apply them to concrete situations in working communities and generally to various interactive situations
- are able to define the basic principles of dialogic, appreciate and participatory leadership, including the underlying factors, and know how to apply their knowledge to practical supervisory or management situations, taking into account the meaning of work motivation and wellbeing at work
- are able to explain the meaning of development activity in today's society, and are able to bring into practice, make use of and apply various development methods and models, especially including the principles pertaining to participatory and dialogic development, continuous improvement and learning organization

-know how to explain the meaning of volunteer work in today's society, and are able to make use of and manage volunteer work as part of welfare service provision

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass:
Students participate in contact sessions and complete online assignments and practical activities as agreed for the course. Students demonstrate their competence in the learning outcomes by completing the assignments with the grade "pass".

Fail:
Students fail to participate in contact sessions, online assignments or practical activities as agreed for the course. Students have not achieved the learning outcomes and are unable to demonstrate their competence, or fail to turn in their assignments.
