Objective

Students
- become oriented towards studying in a multidisciplinary group of students
- become familiar with other students as individuals and as members of the group
- become trained in self-directed studies and learning in a group
- incorporate the idea of holistic lifelong learning
- learn the practices and roles used in PBL
- develop their personal learning skills
- use a variety of learning and working environments for their studies

- orientation to studies in the student group
- problem-based learning (PBL)
- from problems to insight
- the structure of the Diploma of Higher Education in the open UAS
- Seinäjoki UAS as a community and learning environment
- Library services at Seinäjoki UAS

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass:
Students participate in the course sessions (except in online courses) and activities.
Students demonstrate that they have achieved the learning outcomes by completing the assignments during the course with the grade "pass"
Fail: Students fail to participate in the course sessions and activities.
Students have not achieved the learning outcomes and cannot demontrate their competence in them.
