Objective

Students will learn to
- take into account characteristics of different target groups when planning events or visual material
- make use of user and customer-oriented research methods in event planning and ideation
- use the scenario method for foresight

Content

- Methods for collecting and analysing customer and user data to help planning (for example observation, interview, focus group, photo diary, design game, empathy probe)
- Planning events and visual material for special needs groups
- Accessibility
- Methods of participatory planning
- Scenario work
- Sustainable development, social principle of equality

No previous studies required

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Grade 1: Students recognise various groups of users and their special characteristics.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Grade 3: Students understand the meaning of users in planning events and, together with other group members, know how to conduct user studies

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Grade 5: Students take target group needs into account when planning events and choose appropriate methods of collecting and analysing user data. Students are able to make use of the data collected.
