Objective

Students will:
- know the structure of the human body
- know what factors contribute to physical fitness and understand how they are influenced by stress physiology
- know how to measure cardiorespiratory fitness and interpret the results

Content

- Human anatomy and physiology
- Impact of stress on the components of physical fitness and bodily systems
- Instruments for assessing aerobic endurance

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Students are able to name some structures and principal functions of the most important internal and sensory organs. Students are to some extent aware of the components of physical fitness and can explain a major part of the impact of various types of stress on the organism. Students need some assistance with measuring body composition and cardiovascular fitness and with interpreting the results.

Students know the structure and principal functions of the most important internal and sensory organs. Students are aware of the components of physical fitness and can explain the impact of various types of stress on the organism. Students can measure cardiovascular fitness and interpret the results.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students know the structure and function of internal and sensory organs and are able to flexibly apply their knowledge to physiotherapy work. Students know how to apply their knowledge concerning the components of physical fitness and how to explain in professional situations the impact of various types of stress on the organism.
