Practical Training in Pediatric Nursing (6cr)

Objective

ETHICAL COMPETENCE, CLINICAL COMPETENCE, COMPETENCE IN HEALTH PROMOTION

Students are able to connect with, care for and counsel healthy, ill and disabled children and youth of all ages and their families in various life situations and when undergoing health changes, in paediatric wards, paediatric outpatient clinics, or in similar placements.

Content

Practical training in clinical child and youth nursing 6 cr. Placements e.g. in paediatric outpatient clinics, paediatric wards, units providing specialised services for children and youth, projects, organisations, and voluntary work

Qualifications

No previous studies are required.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The same criteria as for the Practical training in Pediatric nursing

Materials

Same literature and material as in the theory course.
