Practical Training in School Health Care (6cr)

Objective

ETHICAL COMPETENCE, CLINICAL COMPETENCES, COMPETENCE IN HEALTH PROMOTION, COUNSELLING AND MENTORING COMPETENCE

Students are able to connect with, care for and counsel school-age children, adolescents and their families. Under supervision, students are able to carry out health examinations with school-aged children and adolescents. Students are aware of characteristic features and abnormalities in the growth and development in school-aged children and adolescents. Under supervision, students are able to document health examinations of school-age children and adolescent. Students are able to counsel school-age children and adolescents and families on issues pertaining to a healthy lifestyle and education.

Practical training in public health nursing of school-age children and youth, 6 cr in school health care
