Swedish, preparatory study unit (0cr)

Objective

Upon completion of the course, students

- can use dictionaries and write texts in Swedish with the help of dictionaries and grammar books
- understand normal spoken and written Swedish texts, both common themes and easy professional vocabulary
- can use the most common grammar structures

Content

- Revising basic grammatical structures
- Revising basic vocabulary
- Revising phrases

Qualifications

No prerequisites

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Passed: 50% presence in lessons, all exercises returned.
The course is assessed pass/fail.
Pass:
Students use simple structures and limited vocabulary in oral and written communication, but mistakes may to some extent disturb understanding. They understand slow and clear speech and quite easy field-related texts and manage reasonably well in familiar everyday situations. Understandable pronunciation .
