Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass:
The structure of the scientific text produced by the student is mainly clear. In written assignments, the student chiefly masters the style of scientific writing. The student mainly uses source literature and in-text citations following the established practices of scientific referencing. The student's argumentation is varied and convincing. Their text consists chiefly of good and polished language. The students masters the Finnish grammar, though may make some grammatical errors.

N.B.! Observance of the good practices of academic writing is assessed together with the other aspects of the student's Master's thesis, and it is one of the elements the overall grade of the thesis is based on.
