Objective

The student
- knows the basic functions of library systems and is able to work in acquisition and development projects
- recognizes the basic functions of a program suitable for image processing and the purpose of use of images related to their professional field
- understands HTML language and CSS style definitions

Content

The student becomes familiar with library information systems, their features, standardizing, the procurement and development of systems and recognizes the principal systems of the Finnish library sectors and understands the principles of the development of the national system architecture.
The student processes pictorial matter with the basics functions of an image processing program and chooses the format of saving appropriate for each purpose of use.

The student plans and implements a website and utilizes style definitions in it.

- The student has information about the functions of library information systems and virtual libraries
- The student is able to process images using the basic tools of an image processing program
- The student is familiar with the basics of HTML code and recognizes definitions of the CSS style language

3 to 4
- The student knows the functions of library systems and virtual libraries and the key topics in library information system development
- The student is able to utilize the basic features of an image processing program
- The student is able to utilize the HTML and CSS codes on a website

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

- Requires comprehensive understanding and knowledge of library systems and the operations of virtual libraries. The student is able to participate in the design, procurement and development of library information systems.
- The student utilizes the basic features of an image processing program in a diverse way and is able to process photos for each purpose.
- The student is able to apply HTML code and the definitions of the CSS style language they have learned
