Koulutus on suunnattu sosiaali- ja terveysalan digitaalisten palveluiden käyttämis- ja kehittämisosaamista tarvitseville korkeakoulututkinnon suorittaneille ammattilaisille.
Erikoistumiskoulutuksen suoritettuaan opiskelija saavuttaa sellaisen tietoperustan, jolla hän kykenee toimimaan vaativissa asiantuntijatehtävissä monialaisten sosiaali- ja terveydenhuollon palvelujen suunnittelu- ja kehittämistehtävissä. Koulutuksessa paneudutaan syvällisesti digitaalisiin sosiaali- ja terveyspalvelujen ekosysteemin kehittämisosaamisiin ja siinä vaadittaviin syvällisiin erityisosaamisiin ja monialaisten kokonaisuuksien muotoiluosaamiseen ja hallintaan. Opiskelija tuottaa kehittämistehtävän, jossa häneltä vaaditaan käytännön ongelmanratkaisutaitoja ja toimimista erilaisissa monitoimijaisissa verkostoissa ja kehittämisyhteisössä. Tämä edistää oppijan ammatillisen osaamisen kehittymistä.
