Objective

The student is able to
- analyze the concepts of future thinking as managerial tools
-apply forecasting methods as part of an organization's strategic development
- develop the role of future thinking and strategic foresight as part of their professional expertise
- recognize changes in operational environment and produce multidisciplinary future foresights in especially the area of cultural management

Content

- the key concepts of future thinking and strategic foresight
- definition and analysis of factors affecting the future operational environment
- search, analysis and interpretation of information about the future
- becoming familiar with different methods of futures research
- visioning and scanning of the future

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Fair (1 to 2): The student has applied strategic foresight and justified, applying in part the right concepts, their assessment of organization's strategic goals. The student assesses his or her own knowledge of foresight methods. The student has participated in the course assignments as instructed.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good (3 to 4): The student has professionally applied strategic foresight in understanding organizational development and interpretation of the operational environment. The student has justified, professionally and using the right concepts, their interpretation of strategic development needs. The student assesses his or her own knowledge of foresight methods with arguments. The student has participated in the course assignments actively.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent (5): The student has applied strategic foresight in a considerate, creative and diverse way to organizational development and interpretation of the operational environment. The student has provided justified interpretation and presented assessments of strategic development needs and goals professionally and using the right concepts excellently. The student assesses his or her own knowledge of foresight methods with arguments and critically. The student has participated in the course assignments actively and constructively.
