Objective

Students are able to critically analyze the reasons and motives for company internationalization. Students learn to evaluate alternative models of global operations and strategies. Students comprehend the role and means of globalization and analyze and assess its impacts in business development. Students identify and interpret possibilities and challenges of business development in global context.

Theories, concepts and entry modes of company internationalization and the context of globalization
Global business environment, its changes and factors affecting business development
Implications for strategic decisions by analyzing business model elements, such as customer value, customer relationships, value proposition, capabilities, resources and activities.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student demonstrates basic skills in analysing global business development environment. The student applies the concepts in assessment of organization's strategic goals. The student has participated in the course assignments as instructed.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student professionally applies concepts and theories in analysis of global business development. The student justifies and interprets organization's strategic development needs. The student assesses his or her own knowledge. The student has actively participated in the course assignments.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student has applied strategic thinking in a diverse way to interpret global business development opportunities and challenges. The student has provided justified interpretation and presented assessments of organization's strategic development needs and goals professionally. The student assesses his or her own knowledge with arguments. The student has participated in the course assignments actively and constructively.
