Objective

Students will understand the development phases of the more common protein crops, cultivation techniques, and the factors that affect the quantity and quality of harvests. Students will know how to use machinery needed to harvest and process protein field crops. They will be competent in compiling a cultivation scheme and in making quality analyses. They will also be aware of the significance of the factors associated with quality.

Basics of agriculture and food production. At the beginning of studies it will be shown litterature to reach needed level.

The student knows the main protein crops in the development stages, cultivation techniques, crop quality and quantity factors. He is aware of the machines of protein crop harvesting and processing. He knows the principles of cropping plan and the most important quality analyzes.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students are able to compare the main protein crops in the developing stages, farming techniques and crop quality and quantity factors. He knows the machinery using the main protein crop harvesting and processing. He can name the cropping plan and the most important quality analyzes.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to evaluate the major protein crop development stages and farming techniques affect crop quality and quantity. They are able to choose the most appropriate protein crop harvesting and processing of the necessary machining. He is able to make the cropping plan independently, as well as compare the most important quality analyzes.
