Objective

The student knows that operations management systems exists and what they mean for business operations. The student can introduce and use basic modules of operations management systems.

- The role of operations management in the company's overall business strategy
- operations management interactions with other key functions of the company
- Key functions of operations management and their interactions in the design of functional operating systems
- Tools suitable for analyzing operating systems
- operations management practices and applications of technologies both in the manufacturing industry and in the service sector

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Students know the meaning and use of operations management systems in daily business processes.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Students are able to feed basic information to an operations management system and use different modules of an operations management system.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Students can take into use and operate different modules of operating management systems. Students are active in class.
