The student
-is capable of working in a multi-professional team and is able to consider the patient's age, growth and development stage.
-is able to assess the resources of patients and their relatives coming from different cultural backgrounds.
-is able to take this assessment into consideration when planning, implementing and evaluating the medical nursing.
-can use evidence-based implementations developed for medical nursing to help, support, and counsel patients and family members of all ages.
-knows how to act aseptically.
-is competent in common nursing procedures and diagnostic examinations used as part of medical nursing.
-knows how to support and promote medical patients' and families' health, self-care, rehabilitation and ability to function.
-Identifies, assesses and manages the client’s /patient’s pain
-documents the nursing care of client/patient according to the nursing care process; assesses the client’s/patient’s need for interventions (care) in accordance with the Finnish Care Classification (FinCC), plans and implements interventions using the Finnish Classification of Nursing Interventions (FiCNI), evaluates nursing outcomes using the Finnish Classification of Nursing Outcomes (FiCNO), as well as produces a summary of the nursing care.
