Objective

Students will be competent in utilizing the mathematical methods described in the course contents. Students are able to present the stages of mathematical problem solving orally and in writing and also via online and virtual communication.

The student is able to reduce and modify simple algebraic expressions. They are able to solve a standard linear equation. They are able to carry out simple conversions of physical units.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to handle algebraic expressions fluently. They are able to solve a non-standard linear equation. They are able to carry out relatively complex conversions of physical units.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student masters the handling stages of algebraic expressions fluently. They are able to solve random linear equations. They are able to carry out complex conversions of physical units. The student is able to find information by themselves and to apply things they learned during the course in practical situations.
