Objective

The aim of the pratical training period in Project Studies is to provide students with new, more extensive expertise in their chosen field according to their personal goals. The studies are systematic, and students agree on the details concerning the goals, contents, implementation and assessment of the studies/project with their supervisor and employer.

Content

The studies involve the common duties associated with the field of engineering. The studies include the tasks given by the employer and other associated assignments that support and enhance learning. A representative from the company in which students work and a teacher from the degree programme function as supervisors.

Qualifications

Enough professional studies.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Level 1-2: Learning tasks have been completed satisfactorily. The achieved results demonstrating competence somewhat meet the set objectives. The documentation produced from the work is modest, and the client’s assessment of the work quality indicates shortcomings.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Level 3-4: The achieved results meet the objectives set in the initial meeting and the completed learning tasks. The student has been able to apply their learning and skills. The reporting and other possible documentation of the work are at an extensive level.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Level 5: The achieved results meet the objectives set in the initial meeting. The student has been able to apply their learning and skills excellently. The reporting and other documentation of the work are at an excellent level. In the work, the student presents new advanced perspectives and development suggestions.

Further information

Students will receive a numerical grade for their Project Studies. Assessment comprises a stated from the employer, students' self-assessment, and assessment by the supervising teacher who gives the final grade. Each assignment, including the grades given, will be entered into the student register of transcripts.
