Objective

After completing this study module student knows the basic concepts of the product data management (PDM)

Content

Product data management, BOM, ebom, Mbom, product structures, versions and revisions, search functions. Becoming acquainted with the laboratory of the industrial Internet. Basic theories and objectives of production management. General theory of PDM-ERP-MES-systems.

Student knows a basic structure and the operation of the PDM system generally.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Student knows the main points of PDM and is able to apply them in practice. The student is able to create a product structure using both the CAD-system and the Team Center.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Student knows well the main points of PDM and can apply them in many ways. The student is able to create a product structure using both the CAD-system and the Team Center and can utilize them when building various parametric product variations.
