Objective

The aim of the course is to familiarize the student with the basics of data warehouse. The student understands the relational database and document-base NoSql-database and learns the stages of the information analysis. Students will have command of SQL language. The student learns to use international sources in database design.

- Data warehouseing
- Relational databases
- Conceptual modelling
- ER (Entity-Relationship)-modelling
- Main features of SQL (Structured Query Language)

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

- Satisfactory (1-2) The student knows the basics

Assessment criteria, good (3)

- Good (3-4): The student is familiar with the principles of database design and basic of SQL language

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

- Excellent (5): The student is able to apply the principles of database design in his/her exercises, and dominates the SQL language
