Objective

The student knows the main tasks and responsibilities of supervisory work.
The student is familiar with current legislation related to supervisory work.
Students will be competent in assessing the impacts changes in the environment outside an enterprise have on the strategy, leadership and organisational culture in the enterprise. They will be able to analyse the relationships between an enterprise's strategy, organisational structure and human resources system. They will also be able to analyse and develop their own leadership skills.

Students will be knowledgeable of the traditional theories and practices of leadership and the impacts they have on the atmosphere of an organisation, the commitment of the staff to develop their performance and the motivation of individuals. They will be competent in functioning as a member of the work community and in planning, promoting and carrying out activities in the work community. Students will also be able to utilise practices associated with development discussions in the management of the expertise in an organisation, as a person in charge and as a subordinate.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Level 1-2; Student knows the basics of the knowledge objectives of the course. The student knows the responsibilities and duties of the supervisors, managers and employees. The student knows the basics of Employment Contracts Act and law.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Level 3-4; Student knows the knowledge objectives of the course well. The student knows the responsibilities and duties of the supervisors, managers and employees. The student knows the basics of Employment Contracts Act and law. The student is also able to work in supervision according to legislation.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Level 5; Student knows the knowledge objectives of the course well and can apply their knowledge in practice. The student knows the responsibilities and duties of the supervisors, managers and employees. The student knows the basics of Employment Contracts Act and law. The student is also able to work in supervision according to legislation. The student is able to work in critical supervisory positions.
