Objective

The student is able to explain the main concepts related to image processing, such as color spaces, common image file formats, and their uses. He/she will be able to use the most common functions in Adobe Photoshop and customize images to suit their purpose.

- basics of acquisition and processing of digital material
- copyright
- basic functions and user interface of Photoshop imaging software
- importing and processing images (size, resolution, color space, file formats)
- color correction, cropping, straightening, deleting an extra object
- methods of color change
- clipping methods
- mask
- level mixing modes
- text tool
- editing images to print

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass or Fail
Pass if:
- All assignments done and passed.
- Attendance 80% in classes.
