Objective

The objective of the Renovation Construction and the New Construction Act course is to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the new Construction Act and its impact on renovation construction. The course addresses the key provisions and interpretations of the law, as well as their practical application in renovation projects.
Upon completion, the student will be able to:
• Define the key changes in the new Construction Act coming into effect in 2025 and their impact on renovation construction
• Apply the changes in the Construction Act to practical renovation projects

Content

• Key provisions and interpretations of the new Construction Act from the perspective of renovation construction
• The impact of the new law on the planning, permit process, and execution of renovation projects
• Practical examples of applying the new law
• Current legislative changes and future outlooks
• Tasks related to the subject area

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Pass:
• The student recognizes the requirements brought by the new Construction Act in renovation construction.
• The student can apply the changes brought by the new Construction Act to renovation construction in practice.
• The student has submitted all assignments required for the course.
Fail:
• The student does not demonstrate knowledge of the new Construction Act or its obligations regarding renovation construction.
• The student does not submit assignments at all, or the submitted assignments do not demonstrate even a minimal understanding of the course learning outcomes.
